“Learning what scares you and why, is critical in life. Sometimes that fear is unjustified and is preventing you from doing something that could actually be rewarding. I apply this belief to both extreme sports and every day challenges,” says exceptional adventurer, Michael McKeller. “Baby steps’ make all challenges easier. You have to learn not to let fear control you…how to use it as a tool…as motivation.”

He should know, Mike’s inspirational story is one of a man who has triumphed in the face of overwhelming odds. Born with an affliction which did not allow the muscles in his limbs to develop normally, and stricken with scoliosis in his early teens, Michael spent his early life making the necessary adjustments to keep up with his adventuresome family and friends only to be devastated at the age of fifteen by an injury which occurred in surgery that left him unable to move his arms or legs.

Pure grit and determination saw Mike through grueling physical therapy every day until he had achieved independence. In a lifetime of EXTREME challenges, his overpowering belief that anything can be accomplished with the right amount of know how and application not only serves him through the challenges of every day life from the seat of a wheelchair but drives him to experience life to the fullest.

Extreme Mike – The Series – is a fast-paced, hard-hitting video series featuring physically disabled adventurer Michael McKeller challenging the limits of his own mental hurdles and physical obstacles in the pursuit of accomplishing one extreme sport at a time. In the process he will overcome and conquer his own fears. His ultimate mission: to invite everyone to take a look at how he does it and try it for themselves. 

EPISODE 1 FINDS EXTREME MIKE DIVING OUT OF A PLANE 13,500 FEET ABOVE THE EARTH ON A TANDEM SKY DIVE CAUGHT ON FILM. Hurtling 120 miles an hour toward the earth, Mike’s thoughts turn to the fulfillment of this lifelong dream. He had done his homework, he knew the risks, they were not any greater than getting in a car every day. The logic made sense, hundreds of thousands of dives are successfully completed every year, by professionals like the one who was with him today. Step-by-step the fear became manageable…workable even motivating until in the blink of an eye—he was out. The wind was cold and strong in his face, the sensation loud as they plummeted at breakneck speed. 

Each thirty minute episode will be like the first - chronicling Mike’s journey from his initial desire to pursue an extreme activity through his step-by-step research and weighing of risk, culminating in the fulfilling rush of achievement. Episode 1 takes the viewer with Mike as he attends skydiving school and preps himself mentally, ultimately choosing to take on the challenge and the ride of his life. 

The entire series will see Mike in one or two planned expeditions per thirty minute episode. Already a certified scuba diver, Mike will take the viewer with him plunging into the turquoise waters off of Cozumel, ultra-light flying over shark-infested waters, skimming the midnight, gator-filled waters of the Louisiana bayou in an airboat, turning loops and flying upside down in a stunt plane, all feats already tried and accomplished by Extreme Mike. 

In the works are series adventures which include land sailing, rappelling, hang gliding, snow and water skiing, race car driving, rock climbing and many, many more--all performed in exotic world locations.
